Printer Setup: USB Thermal Printer
Follow these steps to set up your USB thermal printer with Saleculator.
Prerequisites
- Ensure the USB thermal printer is connected to your computer/system via a USB cable.
- Verify that the printer is turned on and properly plugged in.
Steps to Configure the USB Thermal Printer
- Open Saleculator:
- Launch the Saleculator application.
- Access Configuration:
- Go to the Main Menu.
- Click on Configuration.
- Configure Printer Settings:
- Navigate to the Peripherals tab.
- From the “Printer” dropdown, select your printer brand (e.g., Epson or the appropriate brand).
- From the “Mode” dropdown, choose “File”.
- From the “Port” dropdown, select the last option:
/dev/usb/lp0
.
- Save and Restart:
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- Restart Saleculator to ensure the settings take effect.
Test the Printer
- Print a receipt for a few products from Saleculator.
- A successful printout confirms that the USB thermal printer is set up correctly.
