Both apps are free to download. Production use requires a separate one-time licence for the selected app. Your activation key is tied to your device.

Open the listing for your chosen app and install it through Microsoft Store on your Windows device.
2. Start a POS trial
Open Saleculator POS and press START TRIAL. Stay connected to the internet during activation. If automatic activation cannot finish, request a POS trial key, save the key shown on screen, paste it into the app and press Activate. PDA needs a separate PDA key; a POS trial key will not work in PDA.
3. Create your local database
A fresh Microsoft Store installation defaults to bundled SQLite: no separate database installer or server is needed. Accept the prompt to create the database. On a newly created database, select Administrator and enter the initial PIN 1111, then use Change password to choose your own PIN. Existing databases retain their existing users and PINs.
4. Test your first sale
In POS, add a sample product and selling price, complete a cash sale, and preview or print the receipt. Close and reopen the app to confirm the sale and activation remain. PDA is sales-only: prepare products and users in POS and connect PDA to the same MySQL shop database. Separate local SQLite databases do not share products or sales.
Using MySQL instead
Install and start MySQL on the shop server, create an empty Saleculator database and a database user, then open Configuration > Database in the app. Select the MySQL option and enter the server address, port, database name, user and password. Save and restart. Allow the initial database creation when prompted. Point all counters at the same shop database. Choosing MySQL in Saleculator does not install MySQL Server.
Switching databases
SQLite and MySQL are separate data stores. Changing the connection does not copy products or sales. Take a backup before changing an existing shop and arrange a data migration if you need to retain its records. For a local SQLite backup, close the app before copying its database file; keep the original connection settings so you can return to it.
For resellers
Continue using the documented release package and handover checklist for customer machines, network counters, and first-day support.
For hardware vendors
Use the vendor package for prepared POS devices, Linux counters, Raspberry Pi class appliances, and controlled customer rollouts.
5. Buy and continue
After testing, buy a one-time POS license or a PDA license. PDA costs INR 5,960 in India or USD 116 elsewhere. Save the serial key displayed after verified payment and enter it in the matching app on that same device. Keep the current database and shop setup. A paid license does not migrate data or license a second device. PDA trial setup currently requires assistance.
