Saleculator Waiter 1.3.0
Direct printing and clearer ordering for each restaurant floor.
New in this release
- Bill and KOT layouts use Waiter.Print.Bill and Waiter.Print.KOT resources. One KOT resource handles new items, increases, decreases and cancellations.
- Each phone has separate billing and KOT1–KOT5 printer destinations, paper widths, cutter/buzzer settings, test printing and reviewed profile import/export.
- Print directly from the phone, without a central printer queue. Already-open tables can send KOTs during a Webin connection failure; explicit server rejections still block printing.
- Non-Latin text is shaped on Android and printed as raster rows at 58/80 mm widths. Layouts support columns, QR codes and bounded PNG logos.
- Clearer table ownership, totals, pending kitchen status and recovery attention; table search and My tables filters.
- Improved search, persistent cart navigation, filtered/paginated order history and fractional quantity editing.
- Login attempt limits, session invalidation after PIN changes and server logout.
- Server compatibility checks, a setup checklist and a diagnostic summary excluding addresses, credentials and order contents.
Upgrade from the testing APK
The old debug APK uses a different certificate, so Android cannot update it in place with this release. Complete or recover pending orders before removing that installation. Install this release, then activate, configure and sign in again. Older local saved data is not migrated.
Offline KOT and recovery
Offline KOTs require a table already reserved on that phone. Stop using the old phone and reconcile unbacked-up items before a manager transfers its table. Printer delivery uncertainty requires checking the printer and resolving the attempt in Recovery; there is no automatic print retry. Request Bill requires Webin and hands the order to the cashier without recording payment.
Validation and restaurant acceptance
44 app tests and clean static analysis passed, including offline printer transport, ownership rejection and multilingual raster checks. Server workflow, security, pricing and package configuration checks passed. Verify activation, intended language/fonts, real paper output, multi-phone handover and POS/PDA cashier import at the restaurant. Signing and automated tests do not prove physical paper delivery.
