Saleculator Waiter 1.2.0
An updated Android foundation for Saleculator restaurant order taking.
New in 1.2.0
- Updated the app framework, Android build tools and dependencies.
- Aligned Android support with Android 7 and newer.
- Added a clear retry screen when secure storage cannot open, instead of silently clearing saved information.
- Introduced a fresh secure-storage area for the updated app. Older local app data is not migrated.
- Completed automated checks with 24 passing tests and no static-analysis findings.
Included order-taking improvements
This build also includes the earlier Saleculator integration and reliability improvements:
- Connect to the restaurant's configured Webin server and sign in with a POS employee PIN and role permissions.
- Save table drafts with device ownership and provide recovery for interrupted bill requests and uncertain kitchen prints.
- Preserve pricing, tariffs, modifiers, notes and kitchen send state when handing an order to the cashier.
- Track kitchen routes separately so a failed route does not discard the result of another route.
Installation and compatibility
Use the matching Webin 3.6 integration package and Saleculator POS/PDA with the updated waiter order importer. Complete activation, server/printer setup and sign-in again. Preserve outstanding orders before changing an existing installation. An app signed with another certificate cannot be updated in place with this APK.
Request Bill sends an order to the cashier; it does not record payment. Validate activation, staff permissions, real kitchen printing, interrupted connections and cashier import before restaurant rollout.
Still pending
The new waiter-specific Bill/KOT template resources and device printer-profile workflow are not included. Current kitchen printing remains subject to the existing draft-backup requirement.
